Minding my OWN business

Last night, I cried myself to sleep. I really don't know why I cried last night, maybe because I was making myself pressured with all of these preparations, or maybe because I really really wanted to go to sleep that time but the lights are still on since my sister is reading a book, or maybe both. That same night too, I was stressing out because of the preparations that we have to make, and then I realized that there are still some works to do.

I don't want to say that there are many things that we have to do because that would just make me more pressured. My sister was even reprimanding me because I was really making myself pressured. That's when it hit me. I was making myself pressured because I was so competitive. I mean WE are so competitive. Then I realized that if we will just make our plans more creative and original, we won't be pressured. If we won't think about this whole thing as a competition.

We just have to mind our own business to get out of this pressured state.

You know, I thought that if you will mind your own business, you're selfish. But actually, if you do it, you're just trying to get out or at least stay away from being pressured. Because if you mind your own business, you're not thinking about what people think about you. You're just trying to be safe and fortunately you'll be safe. Now, I'm gonna share to you some of my tips about minding your own business, which I'll call The 3 B's:

  • Be yourself. You will not be affected with everything that is happening around you if you will just be yourself.
  • Believe in yourself. The tip says it all. Nobody can beat you if you believe in yourself.
  • Be blessed. Believe that God is in your side always, and that nothing can go wrong because He is with you always. Surrender everything in Him. You just have to surrender and nothing can go wrong.
Don't hesitate doing your best. Wag mong pansinin kung ano ang iniisip ng kahit na sino, just be yourself, believe in yourself, and be blessed.
